This euro cylinder hook lock is a narrow mortice lock with a hooked bolt that swings out and grips the keep, so the door or gate cannot be lifted, levered or pulled apart. With a 40mm backset and a standard euro profile cylinder cut-out, it is a low cost replacement for worn or broken hook locks on a wide range of doors and gates.

It is used on aluminium and steel narrow stile doors, shopfront entrances, sliding doors, patio doors, bi-fold doors, and sliding and swing gates. Its slim body fits where a standard sashlock will not.

It has a 40mm backset, measured from the front of the faceplate to the centre of the euro cylinder. Other suppliers sometimes measure differently, so the same size lock may be listed with a different number elsewhere.
