Frequently asked questions
What does a top patch fitting do?
It clamps onto the top corner of the glass door and connects it to the top pivot in the frame head, transom fitting or overpanel fitting, so the door can swing.
Do I need to drill the glass?
Yes. Toughened glass can’t be drilled after it’s made, so it must be cut and drilled for patch fittings when it’s manufactured. Most frameless glass doors already have this done.
What goes with it?
You’ll need a bottom patch fitting, and a floor spring or floor pivot at the bottom of the door. If there’s glass above the door, you’ll also need a transom or overpanel fitting with a pivot.
What glass does it fit?
It fits 10mm and 12mm toughened glass. Gaskets are included.
