This WiFi shutter receiver lets you open and close your roller shutter from your phone, from the two remotes supplied, or from a wall switch. It is a complete replacement control box for 230V roller shutter and roller garage door motors, and it works through the free Tuya Smart app over WiFi or Bluetooth.
If your old receiver has failed, your remotes have stopped working, or you simply want app control and Alexa voice control on an existing shutter, this unit wires in place of your old control box. It is ideal as an upgrade for NVM, Ellard and PM1 type shutter systems.

Smart features of this WiFi shutter receiver
Photocell safety: connect a safety beam to the S terminal to stop the shutter if something crosses it, or to the IR terminal to reverse it – either fully back to the top or half way, set from the remote. Our roller shutter safety photocells connect straight in.
Motor monitoring: the receiver watches the motor current, so it knows when the shutter has stopped at any position and avoids false triggers from the photocell.
Inching and auto-close: use inching mode to move the shutter a little at a time, or set it to close automatically after opening.
Choosing the right WiFi shutter receiver
This unit suits any 230V roller shutter motor with up, down and common wires. If you only want remote control without the app, our standard roller shutter receiver kit is a lower cost option. For extra handsets, see our roller shutter remotes.
Fitting tips
Isolate the power before removing your old control box. Connect the mains supply and the motor up, down and common wires to the matching terminals, then add any photocell or wall switch. Pair the remotes using the learn button, then add the receiver to the Tuya Smart app on a 2.4GHz WiFi network. Electrical work should always be carried out by a competent person. Frequently asked questions
Does the WiFi shutter receiver need internet?
Only for app control away from home. Bluetooth works within about 15m without internet, and the remotes and wall switch always work.
Which app does it use?
The free Tuya Smart app (also works in Smart Life) on iPhone and Android.
Does it work with Alexa?
Yes. Once it is in the app you can link it to Amazon Alexa for voice control.
Will my old remotes work with it?
Two new remotes are included. Contact us before ordering if you want to check whether your existing remotes will pair.
Can I connect a photocell?
Yes – it has a 12V output and a photocell input with stop or reverse modes.
