Roller shutter remotes
Door hardware guides for replacing a lost remote, adding spares or upgrading your receiver.
Most UK roller shutters use 433MHz remotes made for NVM, Ellard, Paramount PM1 or NECO receivers. Remotes can look alike but use different coding, so always check the label on the control box or the model name on the back of your old remote before ordering. If the receiver has failed or has no label, a receiver kit with 2 new remotes is usually the quickest fix.
Roller shutter switches and parts
Door hardware guides for key switches, up/down switches, locks, photocells and motors.
If your shutter will not open or close, test it from the wall switch first. If the switch works but the remote does not, the remote or receiver is the problem. If nothing works, check the power, the key switch and the safety photocell, which stops the shutter closing when the beam is blocked. A motor that hums but does not turn usually needs replacing.

Glass doors and patch fittings
Door hardware guides for patch fittings, pivots, locks and door closers on frameless glass doors.
A single frameless glass swing door normally needs a top patch fitting, a bottom patch fitting, a top pivot and either a floor spring or floor pivot. Add a patch lock and strike box to lock it, and overpanel or transom fittings where the door meets fixed glass. Our patch fittings suit 10–12mm toughened glass.
Pull handles
Back to back pull handles for glass, timber and aluminium doors.
Back to back pull handles are sold as a pair, with one handle on each side of the door fixed straight through it. Shorter 600mm to 800mm handles suit standard doors, while 1000mm to 1800mm handles suit tall glass entrance doors. Check the fixing centres (the distance between the fixings) and your door thickness before you order.
Automatic doors
Spares and safety barriers for automatic sliding and swing doors.
Most automatic door faults start with small wear parts such as floor guides, carriage wheels and belts. For automatic swing doors, BS EN 16005 calls for guarding where the door sweeps more than about 100mm into a walkway, with barriers at least 900mm high. For safety guidance, see the Door & Hardware Federation.
Access control
Door hardware guides for maglocks, exit buttons, keypads and power supplies.
A basic door access control system has five parts: a lock such as a maglock, an entry device such as a keypad or key switch, a press to exit button, a green emergency door release, and a 12V power supply. Doors on escape routes must always let people out, so check with your fire risk assessor before you install.
