This 8m photocell is a reflective safety beam sensor for roller shutters and electric garage doors. If a person, car or object breaks the beam while the door is closing, the sensor signals the control unit to stop the door.

With an 8m range it suits wide openings, loading bays and double garage doors where a standard 4m beam is not enough.

Choosing the right 8m photocell

Your shutter control unit or receiver needs a photocell input. Our remote control receiver kit has one built in. For openings under 4m, our 4m safety photocell is a lower cost option. Wiring should be done by a competent person.

Isolate the power before fitting or wiring an 8m photocell. Follow the wiring diagram for your control unit or power supply, and test the system fully before handing it over.
