This RFID card is a 125kHz proximity card for access control keypads and card readers. Users simply hold the card near the reader to unlock the door.
Cards are thin and wallet-sized, and each one can be added or removed from the system, so lost cards are easy to block.

Choosing the right part

Fitting tips
Isolate the power supply before fitting or changing any access control part, and keep low voltage cables away from mains cables. Test the door, the release and the exit device several times after fitting. Doors on escape routes must always let people out safely, so check with your fire risk assessor or a qualified installer. How a simple access control system works
A basic door access control system has four parts. A lock, such as a maglock or electric strike, holds the door shut. A keypad, card reader or key switch lets authorised people in. A press to exit button or touchless sensor lets people out, and a green break glass unit overrides everything in an emergency. A 12V power supply runs the whole system and sets how long the door stays unlocked. Because every part is standard, you can start small and add to it later – for example adding a keypad to a key switch system. This RFID card is one part of that system, so check the other parts are in place before you install.
