This 40mm hook lock is a euro cylinder hook bolt lock with a 40mm backset, made for aluminium and steel sliding doors, patio doors, shopfronts and gates. When the key is turned, the hook swings out and grips the keep, so the door cannot be lifted, levered or pulled open.
The 40mm backset suits wider stiles than our 30mm version, and the lock takes a standard euro profile cylinder so you can reuse your existing one or key it alike with your other locks.

Choosing the right 40mm hook lock
Measure the backset of your old lock from the faceplate to the centre of the cylinder hole. If it measures 30mm, choose our 30mm hook lock instead. Hook locks are not interchangeable between sizes, so check the case depth and faceplate length too.
