This glass door floor pivot is a stainless steel floor spindle that the bottom of a frameless glass door swings on. It’s set into the floor and locates into the bottom patch fitting, giving the door a smooth 360° pivot. It’s a simple, low-cost alternative to a floor spring when the door doesn’t need to self-close, and it’s used on shopfronts, offices, internal partitions and glass screens.
It’s made from stainless steel, so it won’t rust and lasts for years in busy entrances. If your old spindle is worn, loose or damaged, this glass door floor pivot is a quick, easy replacement.
Why choose this glass door floor pivot?
- Smooth 360° rotation: the door swings freely in both directions.
- Stainless steel: rust-resistant and strong enough for everyday commercial use.
- Easy fit: fixes into the floor and locates straight into the bottom patch fitting.
- Great value alternative: a cheaper option than a floor spring when you don’t need self-closing.
- Quick replacement: swap out a worn spindle without changing the rest of your fittings.
- Fast UK dispatch: in stock and shipped quickly.

Frequently asked questions
What is a glass door floor pivot?
It’s the spindle fixed into the floor that the bottom patch fitting sits on. It lets the glass door pivot open and closed.
Floor pivot or floor spring: which do I need?
A floor pivot lets the door swing freely, but it won’t close it on its own. A floor spring closes the door automatically and can hold it open. If you need the door to close by itself, choose a floor spring.
What do I need at the top of the door?
A top patch fitting with a pivot, or an overpanel or fin fitting with a pivot if you have glass above the door.
Does it fit my bottom patch?
It’s designed for standard bottom patch fittings such as our KPF-10. Send us a photo if you’re not sure.
